CryoLabs

Cryotherapy Made Simple

Your Step-by-Step Cryotherapy Experience

Arrival & Welcome

When you arrive at CryoLabs, our friendly staff will welcome you and guide you through the initial check-in process.

Your Treatment Induction

As part of your booking confirmation, you’ll receive a medical questionnaire to complete before your appointment. When you arrive, one of our team will go through it with you and answer any questions you may have. We’ll then guide you through the process step by step, making sure you feel completely at ease. Once you’re comfortable with everything, we’ll simply ask you to complete the Consent to Treatment form.

Preparation & Attire

We provide all necessary protective gear, including a hat or headband, face mask, gloves, knee-length socks, and appropriate footwear. Men usually wear cotton shorts, and women can wear a bikini, swimsuit, or shorts with a sports top (please avoid underwired bras). Before your session, ensure your skin is completely dry and remove all jewellery. Any jewellery that cannot be removed should be fully covered.

The Pre-Chamber

Your session begins with 30 seconds in the pre-chamber, set to between -50°C and -60°C This allows your body to gently acclimatise to the cold and minimise any temperature loss before entering the main chamber.

The Main Chamber

Next, you’ll step into the main treatment chamber, set to between -120°C and -130°C, for a further three minutes. The dry air makes it surprisingly bearable despite the extreme temperature. A trained member of staff will be outside the viewing window throughout the session and can talk to you via intercom. You’re free to exit at any time should you feel uncomfortable.

Post-Session Sensation

After your session, you may feel energised and refreshed. Many people notice immediate pain relief, a boost in mood, and an overall sense of well-being. Mild redness of the skin is normal and usually fades quickly, with your skin temperature returning to normal within a few minutes.

Recovery & Aftercare

We recommend a short recovery period after your session to allow your body to warm up naturally and maximise the benefits. It’s best to avoid hot showers, baths, or saunas for a few hours, as this allows the warming process to happen naturally rather than through sudden heat. After cryotherapy, staying well-hydrated will also support your recovery. Light exercise is encouraged, as it can further enhance the effects.
